Children's Mental Health Week 2026

4th Feb 2026

Dear Parents,

Next week we will be celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week in school. This is a really important week for our pupils, focusing on wellbeing, positivity and having fun together, and we have a wide range of activities planned across the week.

Highlights include:

  • No homework all week for all pupils
  • Special treats such as buns for pupils, a Valentine’s Disco, and an ice cream van
  • A variety of sports, dance and wellbeing activities, including football, Gaelic games, Zumba and Relax Kids sessions
  • Creative and digital activities, including Digi Duck, Art competition and a trip to an Art Gallery
  • Non Uniform Day on Wednesday – pupils are encouraged to wear bright colours

A full breakdown of activities for each day and class group can be found on the attached Children’s Mental Health Week poster

Important reminders:

  • On Wednesday morning, pupils taking part in Relax Kids sessions are asked to bring a small blanket.

We are really looking forward to a fun, positive and memorable week for all our pupils and appreciate your continued support.

Many thanks,
Mr. M Gilmore
