Model School Primary School, Northland Rd, County Londonderry

Welcome

A very warm welcome to our website. We hope that you enjoy your visit and, as you spend a little time with us, that you manage to capture some of the ethos and atmosphere that fills our corridors, classrooms and playgrounds, making our school an extremely happy and fun place to learn and develop.

Our school was founded in 1975 to serve the parish of Strathfoyle and we have been at the core of our community ever since. We strongly believe that education is a partnership, with pupils, staff and parents working together to foster and develop a love and enjoyment of learning.  At our heart, we are a school that is in the community and for the community. I hope this visit to our website will help give you a flavour of what the school has to offer. Should you wish to find out more about what we do, you are warmly invited to make an appointment to call in and see the wonderful provision we have to offer.

Mr. E. Moore

Principal

Safeguarding and Child Protection

Safeguarding and Child Protection are of paramount importance in St. Oliver Plunkett Primary School. If you or your child have any concerns it is important that these concerns are shared with the school. As a parent/guardian you can contact the school and ask to speak to a member of our school's safeguarding team; our safeguarding team currently is comprised of Mrs. Hislop and Mrs. Curran. However, if you wish to speak to your child's class teacher an appointment/phone call can be arranged.

The school's designated Governor for Child Protection and Safeguarding is Mr. Bobby Whoriskey.
