Welcome to Mrs Capriglione’s class!

SPiM 2 is a specialist provision where we celebrate and support every child as a unique and valued learner. Also working in our class is Mrs Furey.

SPiM 2 is a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to explore their interests, develop their strengths, and build important skills for life. We place a strong emphasis on communication, wellbeing, independence, and positive relationships. Every child’s individuality shapes our teaching and learning approaches, ensuring that their voices and choices are at the heart of the curriculum.

This year, we are looking forward to a range of exciting topics that spark curiosity and creativity. We also make use of outdoor learning spaces whenever possible, offering opportunities to connect with nature and learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Trips into the community, including visits to Strathfoyle Library, will enrich our learning journey across the year.

Home learning tasks will be shared regularly to give children the chance to celebrate their progress at home.
